A short walk away from the beach, on the edge of a forest, is a small grassy meadow. It is the herd's main food source, and the stream that runs through the forest not far from the meadow is its main water source.

More than two hundred meters wide at high tide, this beach offers lots of room for running games and relaxing walks. The territory stretches several kilometers north and south, with a few tiny streams trickling into the sea.

The most inland portion of the beach is hilly and covered in long, coarse sea grass. Seabirds sometimes nest in this area when there is no room on any of the many sea stacks offshore. Deer also frequent the dunes.

Although the rest of the shore is steep, tree-covered hills, this small section of shore is a true cliff, dropping from several dozen feet into the sea below. It is a good place to watch the sun set into the sea each evening.

In the face of the cliff can be found a labyrinth of caves, carved into the rock over millennia by the sea, accessible only at low tide. The ocean fills the caves at high tide, when being caught here will have deadly consequences.
