I can’t believe how much this site has helped shape my writing skills. It’s simply amazing how far all of us has grown over the years. I went from 4 sentence posts, to a somewhat mini novel each post! Horse Mountain has changed me as a role player and I’ll always be grateful to SpotLover for creating such a magnificent site. We may not have many members, but I couldn’t be more grateful to have the small family of role players we have.
To those who are reading this and haven’t role-played with me very much, here is the best example I could find.
Adarth’s original character sheet 2009: horsemountain16.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=stallionbios&action=display&thread=896
Adarth’s updated character sheet 2011: horsemountain16.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=creation&action=display&thread=998&page=1
You do NOT have permission to use this character in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!!!! © I will find you EASILY.
SpotLover, ever since I met you on Divine Equines of Epona, I’ve respected the way you role play and the creativity for characters you have. All honesty out, every horse site I’ve made in the past, I made in a pathetic attempt to replicate HM in some way shape or form. When it didn’t work, I’d run back here and role play with you some more, get more ideas, and set off again. I now realize how foolish that was and that no site could compare to this one, big or small. Thank you so much for involving me with your wonderful characters, and welcoming me to the site when I joined. I forever pledge my loyalty to Horse Mountain!
Racechick, boy have we had some rp adventures. Because of your mare Libra, I was able to construct Adarth. Without her, I don’t think I would have kept him. Your mare is the reason I've managed to create the best character I've ever had. I remember how awful I was replying to your posts when she first came to the Rebel Lands. Looking at the first few pages of ‘Libra Arrives’ and then looking at the last few, It’s almost unbelievably how much we’ve improved our writing skills. I’ve always admired the way you write, it paints an incredible picture in my mind that stays there far after I’ve logged off. You’ve progressed amazingly from when I first met you on Divine Equines of Epona. You’ve been a loyal role player to me and to the site and I thank you for it.
fORTE, met on DEOE as well. You, like SpotLover and Racechick, have a very unique way of writing. Reading your posts is like reading a book, and I wish it would just continue on and on. Your characters have inspired many of my characters that I’ve made for things other than Horse Mountain, and someday I hope I can be as great a writer as you. From Forte and Mylene, to Xavier and Hestia, I think we’ve both come a long way. I thank you for creating stories with me and helping me develop my writing skills.
And welcome Spikey to the site. I hope you have fun and grow from a beginner rper to a crazy book-in-each-post rper! Toodles Spikey wolf teddy bear magic man!
I can’t thank all of you enough! I hope that Horse Mountain never closes. I hope it grows into something greater than it already is. Let’s expand our roleplaying family and have fun. Cheers to Horse Mountain!
Thank you!
