Instant Romance Ruby pillars strode slowly, ivory hooves barely leaving prints on the earth. Strawberry fae moved forward, taking in all the beauty that surrounded her. Proud oaks and pines littered the skirt of the land, jade strands stood tall, purple, yellow, and white flowers disarraying the soil. She was here to look for a stallion, though she wasn't sure she was ready to leave this place yet. A brook babbled near by, thirst tightening her throat, Romance headed toward the water. Dropping her blood colored crania, she drank till her thirst was quenched. Lifting her crown, she nickered for a stallion, it would be nice to have some company.

The midsummer sun beat down hard and oppressive on the meeting grounds as Cathedral entered them for the second time. The area had not changed much since he had seen it last; still vast and green. It was a wonder some stallion didn't claim it for his own.
The gray stallion's ears perked at the sound of running water and he suddenly realized how thirsty he was. It had been a few hours since he had last had a drink. He picked his pace up to a slow canter, moving easily and quickly over the smooth ground. The grass beneath his hooves was a shade between green and brown, having been green a few weeks ago but since having been scorched by the sun. The grass in his own territory still retained its freshness, it being cooler near the mountain. He hoped that that would entice some mares to accompany him to his secluded paradise on the mountain.
As Cath rounded an outcrop of trees, behind which he could tell from the sound was the stream he had been chasing, his confident step faltered with surprise. There was another horse standing near the water, a muscular chestnut from the looks of it from this distance. Immediately Cathedral's mindset turned to the offensive; if this horse were a stallion then they were both here for the same thing: mares.
The gray stallion arched his neck and started toward the horse at a swift, flowing trot, trying to look impressive but not too intimidating, in case the horse was in fact a mare. And sure enough as he got closer a breeze wafted to the stallion's nostrils, proving that the red horse was female.
Cathedral slowed as he approached the mare, whom he now saw was not a chestnut but a washed-out red roan, and stopped when he got within a few meters of her. Breathing hard, he dipped his head beneath hers in a respectful nod, and then he spoke: "Greetings, miss. My name is Cathedral." He stretched his neck out, offering her his nose to reassure her that he meant no harm.

Shattered trotted through the grassy areas, her coat was a bit damp and her the wind waved her silky black mane, around her trustworthy face. She snorted and sniffed, the scent of two horses entered her muzzle. Her trot evolved into a canter, she didn't want to meet those other horses. The smell of humans clouded around her, she could remember the day her owner set her loose, the other wild horses treated her like an outcast.
Her chocolate orbs scanned the area, the delightful sound of trickling water ran near by, Shattered felt the back of her throat screaming for water. She took hesitant steps toward the water, where two horses were staying. She walked silently up to them and the stream, pretending to ignore them completely she lowered shiny neck and humbly drank some water.

Instant Romance Garnet harks oscillating atop her crown, auburn pools washing the land as the sound of hooves assulted her auds. Ivory paint brushed dial dipped; nostrils flaring, her brain registering the musk as a stallions', cilia festered by the aroma. Excessive huff proceeded her nares, pomegrate fore column raking the empty space infront of her. Rounding the grove of blended timbers, the source of the rank pheromone, a moltey brute approached; Columns flicking at a steady trot, Romance lifted her crane, soldiers on the front lines.
Potent note struck her eardrum, the vibrations making out his words, "Greetings, miss. My name is Cathedral." A strapping stud, if you asked her, he was compact but build stout and precisely; Andalusian, she was sure, Romance grinning as he extended his dappled boa. Once exposed to his burly scent, like the essence of a freshly mowed lawn, scarlet fae let a feeble squeal crease her plush lips and finely- combing the space between them with a pasty hoof. "My name is Instant Romance sir," Dipping her crania before she finished, "It's a pleasure to meet you." Prestine audio accessories caught the russle of brush, reticent clouts from hooves, craning her boa around to spot another horse.
Her incense was pleasant, soft, and inviting, all that of a mare's spice. Romance nickered airily, glance back at Cathedral. Passion-filled optics, ruby fae cocked a brow to the stallion, expecting him to greet the other mare as well. OOC- Words- sum 200 or so... Muse- Pretty good today =)) Notes- I rlly like this mare so far, hope for sum great rping with u guys =))

Cathedral inhaled the roan mare's scent intently, burning her unique smell into his brain. He intended to become familiar with it anyway in the future, so why not get a head start? "Charmed," he said with a kind smile. "You may call me Cath if you wish; most do." The stallion's body still longed for water; the cool scent and sound of the brook merely feet away enticed him to no end. But he was wary of turning away from Romance for fear of seeming rude. He struggled inwardly with himself for a few moments before coming to a decision: Cathedral made, as nonchalantly as he could, a few steps toward the river while trying to keep the roan mare in front of him. In his experience he knew that anyone might be offended if suddenly offered the rump of a stranger. Cath kept his rump to himself as he drank deeply from the stream.
Suddenly a loud rustle reached the stallion's ears and his head darted up, ears perked, muscles tensed and ready to fight or fly. Immediately he recognized his overreaction: The shade of the trees had camoflaged the dark form of yet another horse. Her features told Cath that she was female, and he watched her curiously. From her body language he could tell that she was shy and hoped not to be noticed, but here was yet another mare whom he could offer a home for the coming winter and possibly longer if she wished. The stallion spoke up: "Excuse me, miss, might I introduce myse--" Suddenly his nostrils flared and his eyes widened. The new mare carried a strange scent, one he had smelled on his own father before he had left the herd of his birth. Cath didn't know what caused the smell and he concluded that his instinctual fear was irrational. He continued to speak to the black mare: "M-might I introduce myself? My name is Cathedral." He was too far from the mare to offer her his muzzle but he still dipped his head respectfully to her, as he had done to Romance, as his own sense of courtesy dictated.

Shattered felt the water run smoothly down her throat, she almost choked when she heard the mare nicker to her. She hesitantly listened to the wind before she opened her mouth, she knew the human smell on her would hit theses horses soon enough. Her chocolate pools examined the horses, the mare was pretty and looked friendly, then she looked at the other horse. It took her about five seconds to realize it was a stallion, she had never encountered one before. She took a hesitant step back as the stallion voice entered her mind clear as a bell. He was introducing himself quite politely, until suddenly he froze. His orbs filled with a small sort of fear and Shattered knew this was the second, the horses would run or attack. She cowered instinctively, waiting. But she was hit with surprise when the stallion continued on, still with a bit of hesitance in his voice. She smiled sweetly, these horses hadn't ran yet. The stallion's name seemed to be Cathedral, she though about this for a moment and the only sound between them was a bird's call. "Hello Cathedral, my name is Shattered, may I ask why you are afraid?" she said out loud, her eyes clouded with embarrassment, Stupid! You shouldn't had said that! a voice screamed in her mind, she took a step back and added, "I'm sorry, it's nice to meet you." she said then bended her neck to look at the mare, "Hello, it's nice to meet you as well." Notes: Sorry I posted so little before this, I had very little muse! And I love your mare Racechick, I also already love this site!

Instant Romance Cilia festered within her thin-walled nares, the rank musk of the two legged infecting her taste buds, scarlet harks folding to mold to her skull. A feisty squeal tainted the air, roan vixen grinding her ivories in her tightly clenched jowls, turning her haunches toward them;Trotting a few feet away before turning to face them. Hazel gems watched the motley and obsidian horses, noting that the mare was more drafty than she had first thought, lips curling back to snap the air; boa arched, muscles tense, and heart racing. Cath was going to let this once captive mare into his herd and when her owner comes to find her it would threaten the whole herd.
Romance viciously shook her crown, letting her muscles ease a bit. She looked frightened, her tone timid, and her stance tense as if ready to flee. "Ummm... Yeah, you too." She tried to reply sweetly, barely noticing the ebony fae's soft voice. Romance watched the next interactions between the vixen and cow.

Cathedral jumped with surprise and turned to face the roan mare, his ears tilted back, as her squeal registered in his mind. Here was something the stallion had hoped never to see: a potential herd member disliked another. He would be devastated to have to alienate one mare in order to invite another to join him; his only hope was to reconcile these two horses. Cath assumed that Romance's dislike of Shattered stemmed from the strange scent that billowed around the black mare, which had frightened him too. It seemed that either the red mare was listening to her instincts or she knew what the scent was and that it brought misfortune.
The stallion looked between the two mares for a moment before turning to Shattered. "It's nothing, my dear," he said, his voice calm, soothing and persuasive, "just something I smelled. Please, why don't you come closer? I am no threat to you." Then he turned to the roan, who was a bit closer to him than Shattered was, and spoke to her in that same voice. "And you, Romace, I can tell you are a mare of intelligence; surely you can see that there is no danger present. He finished by speaking to both the mares: "Come closer and perhaps these differences may be worked out." Again Cath looked from one mare to the other, trying to draw them to him with his gaze.

Shattered sniffed the air, the roan mare would have smelled it by now. Suddenly, the mare squealed and backed up. To her surprise, Shattered wasn't afraid, sad or anything, the only thing she felt was over flowing saddness. She looked at the mare kindly, then looked at Cath, he was asking her to come closer. She hesitantly took a step toward him, he explained that there was nothing dangerous about her, but he didn't know. Well, I might as well get out with it, she told herself.
Shattered trembled a little, "Cath, I'm different, I come from the two legged." she let out a big puff of relief, now all she had to do was wait, silence hung in the air like a death toll.

Instant Romance Ruby hued mare swiveled her auds to the luring pitch of Cath's voice, roan fae taking a single step forward, when the vixen's harmony bellowed into her harks. ",I come from the two legged." Soldiers fell, pearls snapping at the open air, "No danger huh?" She retorted sarcastically. Romance trotted up to the mare, crania low as she set into a loose circle looping the mare, "Did they free you? Or did you escape?" Roan doe interrogated Shattered, barely making eye contact. Ivories ground lightly between her jowls, she usually wasn't like this with new company, but this mare was different; Too different for Romance to be comfortable with.

The silver stallion tossed his head and snorted with surprise at Shatterd's explanation of her scent. "The two-legged!" he exclaimed loudly, unsure of what to think. He repeated the words several times, at different volumes and with different inflections, lost in thought. Now he realized why Romance was afraid and a small sadness bubbled up inside him. There would be no way he could convince the roan that she was safe as long as Shattered was around. Cathedral himself was not terribly afraid of being pursued by the insane, cruel, two-legged creatures: they would never be able to track Shattered to his territory on the mountain before winter, when the deep snows would make travel for them impossible. By the time the snow had melted the mare's trail would be cold.
Cath emerged from his sea of thought as the voice of the roan mare reached him. Her hostile actions toward Shattered and mean question set his nerves afire ad his pulse racing. "Romance, please!" he said firmly, with a hint of anger in his voice, as he stepped forward to intervene. He understand well why Romance was wary of the black mare but it was clear to him that Shattered was kind, had a rather fragile personality and was no direct threat to anyone. Cath could not stand quietly by while such a horse was treated with unnecessary hostility. "I am reluctant to try to command you after having known you for so little time, but there is no need to treat Shattered this way. Please calm yourself and I will offer you a home in a place where the likelihood of being found by any two-legged is slim."

Shattered looked down sadly, Romance, the mare seemed to be called didn't understand. She looked at Cath when he exclaimed loudly, and winced. Her orbs lit with surprise though, when he told Romance to not be afraid. "Romance, I understand why you are afraid, but I am no threat. The humans set me free, they could not keep me, I do not think they will try to find me again, it has been a year already. Please understand." Shattered said softly and looked right into Romace's fearful eyes.
Then she looked at Cath, "I know the two legged are dangerous, and thank you for understanding. I don't think they know the ways of the wilderness and will have no luck trying to find us." she said reassuringly.

Instant Romance His harsh tone was acid to her sensitive harks, Romance glaring first at the mare than at Cath, he had no right to try and control her. A snort rang from her nares, pinning her soldiers tightly against her skull, strawberry fae turned toward the stream and leaped into to cross. Shaking her pelt on the other side, Romance set off at a determined walk, swearing that smoke was puffing from her auds, her fury building up a little inside her. She was wild, she had to protect herself first, and that mare was a threat. Letting a long breath escape her nares, Romance thought about the rapidly changing seasons. Not too long from now winter would be here, and the two-legged probably wouldn't be able to track her down after that, but there were still a few months before winter; how would she protect herself? Romance knew she couldn't be with Cath and his herd, yet, but maybe should wouldn't ever have to be.
Shaking her crania, pastel garnet fae ambled to a different part of the grounds. For now she would be on her own, if she still needed a herd by winter, well she would have to find Cath's land. Her strides were long and fluid, even at the walking pace, harks forward and optics locked again Romance wasn't looking back.

Cathedral nodded acknowledgement to the black mare's reassurance, about to speak again, when he was interrupted by a snort from Romance. He turned in time to see her leap into the stream and he shook his head sadly. The general belief was that most mares were kind and sociable, but here he saw another side to females: their rejection of anyone slightly different than themselves. Seeing someone so ready to be cruel to another saddened the silver stallion greatly, and yet he could not stop himself from calling out after the red mare: "If you change your mind, you can find me on the mountain." He heaved a small sigh as her rear end finally disappeared, and he turned to the black mare who was still present. "Shattered, my dear. I wish I were in any place to apologize for the cruelty exhibited toward you by Instant Romance, but alas, she is not mine to apologize for. All I can do is offer you a home with me, on the mountain, where I will allow no one to discriminate against you for coming from the humans. The grasses in my land are still green, the flowers pretty and the air clean, and cavernous shelter awaits you for the time when ices gleam." Cath's gaze became slightly distant as he tried very hard to come up with this rhyme on the spot. Thoughts of his territory tended to turn into works of art when he could help it, he was that attached to his home. Then he came back to himself and stepped forward, reaching out with his muzzle toward the mare. "So what do you say, dear?"
