Misty was a young mare and she had just left her herd that she was born into and came to find a new one. She looked around and saw no others, she whinnied softly telling all stallions around that she was there and needed a new herd. Wandering around she saw a pond and walked over to it for a drink, after she kept gong farther into the Claiming Forest and whinnied again, her legs carrying her smoothly across the ground at a swift trot. Once she thought she got far enough into the Forest she stopped and started to graze on the small blades of green grass on the ground.

Sheera trotted into the claiming grounds, she was new to Horse Mountain and had almost no idea of where she was. She spotted a mare, around her size and breed and walked over to her. "Hello, I'm Sheera" she said calmly to the other mare. The mare seemed younger than herself, but more comftorable with her surroundings. "Have you lived here long?" she added in, hoping that the younger mare might have had a better idea to how things work on Horse Mountain.

The autumn sun was high in the sky, though veiled by a thin cloud cover, when Cathedral entered the meeting grounds at a swift trot. Luckily the wind had been blowing toward his newly-claimed territory, or he would never have known where he might find any mares who might want to join his herd. As it happened he had found the place alright, and all around him now were the old scents of a few stallions and the fresher scents of many mares. The stallion slowed his pace and looked around for any signs of other horses. On the damp ground he spotted what looked like a set of fresh hoof prints leading toward the edge of a forest. He started off that way and soon thought he could see movement among the trees.
Soon he reached the place where the two mares were standing and said, “Excuse me, ladies, I hope I am not interrupting.” He nodded to them. They both were daintily built with dished faces, something he had not seen before. He found the feature intriguing and strangely attractive. “My name is Cathedral.”
